Okonjima
We travel north, stopping at charming small towns along the way, including Okahandja, where we enjoy time at Namibia’s largest woodcarving market. Operated as a local cooperative, this vibrant market is one of the finest places to find authentic Namibian souvenirs.
Continuing through scenic farmland, we arrive at Okonjima in the mid-afternoon. After setting up camp, you’ll have time to relax and unwind in the shade before heading out to explore the reserve and take part in the afternoon’s activities.
Okonjima is home to the renowned AfriCat Foundation, a leading conservation organisation dedicated to the protection of African big cats, particularly cheetahs. During an educational and inspiring guided tour, you’ll have the rare opportunity to encounter these magnificent animals up close. Many of the cheetahs here have been rescued from difficult circumstances—such as being orphaned or trapped—and are part of a rehabilitation programme aimed at reintroducing them back into the wild.
After this unforgettable experience, we return to camp to enjoy a delicious dinner beneath the African night sky.

Etosha National Park
Today is dedicated to exploring the vast and iconic Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s premier wildlife destinations. A significant portion of our time in the park will be spent on game viewing, offering excellent opportunities to encounter a wide variety of wildlife in their natural habitat.
Game drives are most rewarding in the early mornings and late afternoons, when animals are at their most active. During these cooler hours, you may spot elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos, and an abundance of plains game gathering around the park’s waterholes. The open landscapes of Etosha provide exceptional visibility, making wildlife sightings both frequent and memorable.
As temperatures rise during the middle of the day, we take a well-deserved break at one of the park’s rest camps. Here, you will enjoy lunch and have time to relax, perhaps cooling off in the swimming pool or simply unwinding in the shade while taking in the unique surroundings.
In the afternoon, we continue our safari experience with more game viewing as the wildlife becomes active once again. This full day in Etosha offers the perfect balance of exploration, comfort, and unforgettable encounters with Namibia’s incredible wildlife.

Damaraland & Twyfelfontein
Today the safari continues westward into the rugged and striking landscapes of Damaraland, one of Namibia’s most scenic and culturally rich regions. Our destination is Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its extraordinary collection of ancient rock engravings.
At Twyfelfontein, we explore one of the largest concentrations of rock art in Africa, created thousands of years ago by the San people. These fascinating engravings offer a glimpse into the lives, beliefs, and survival skills of Namibia’s earliest inhabitants.
Damaraland itself is a place of raw beauty, with dramatic mountains, open plains, and unique desert-adapted wildlife. This region is home to the elusive desert elephant, specially adapted to survive in the harsh, arid environment. With some luck, we may encounter these remarkable animals in their natural habitat.
As the day draws to a close, we take in one of Damaraland’s most spectacular highlights—a breathtaking sunset viewed from an elevated vantage point, where the landscape glows in rich hues of gold and red.

Swakopmund
After breakfast, we travel towards the coastal town of Swakopmund, passing through Uis and Henties Bay, with an optional stop at Cape Cross Seal Reserve if time permits. This scenic route offers a striking contrast between Namibia’s desert landscapes and the Atlantic Ocean.
Swakopmund is known as Namibia’s adventure capital, offering a wide variety of exciting activities. Guests have the opportunity to participate in optional experiences such as quad biking across the dunes, sandboarding, skydiving, fishing, and more. These activities can be arranged on request, allowing you to tailor your experience to your interests.
Alternatively, you may choose to explore the charming town at your leisure, with its unique blend of German colonial architecture, seaside promenades, cafés, and shops.

Ai-Aiba Rock Painting Lodge
Today we enjoy a relaxed and scenic drive towards Ai-Aiba Rock Painting Lodge, located in the heart of the Erongo Mountains. This area offers a completely different perspective on Namibia’s natural beauty, focusing on close encounters with its unique flora and fauna.
Upon arrival, guests can unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The experience here is more intimate and immersive, with opportunities to explore on foot rather than by vehicle. Guests may join a guided walk with local farm owners or set out early in the morning to discover the landscape and its wildlife.
The lodge is also known for its remarkable rock art sites, offering further insight into Namibia’s ancient heritage. As evening falls, we gather around the campfire, where the atmosphere may be enhanced by cultural performances from local communities.
Accommodation is provided in charming thatched chalets, each featuring a private patio and en-suite bathroom, ensuring both comfort and authenticity.

Windhoek (Departure)
After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Windhoek, Namibia’s capital city. Along the way, we stop at the Mbangura Craft Market in Okahandja, as well as craft markets in Windhoek, giving you the opportunity to purchase authentic souvenirs and gifts to remember your journey.
Upon arrival in Windhoek, you will be transferred to your place of accommodation or to Hosea Kutako International Airport in time for your onward flight.
